Meet Hannah Giles: People-First, Adventure-Ready and Always Listening

Hannah Giles has recently joined APositive as a Consultant in the UK. Described by her friends as “happy, caring and a little sprinkle of madness”, she brings that same energy to both her work and everyday life.

Hannah’s role within APositive is to help recruitment and staffing agencies overcome the funding, payroll and operational challenges that can stand between them and their next stage of growth.

What does your role at APositive involve?

My role is all about listening to recruitment businesses, understanding what they are trying to achieve and finding a solution that genuinely works for them.

That might mean helping a growing agency access the funding it needs to take on a new contract, removing pressure from payroll or finding a better way to manage an operational challenge. Every business is different, so the right solution has to start with a proper conversation to get to know them.

Is there such a thing as a typical day?

Definitely not, and that is one of the things I enjoy most!

One day I might be speaking with a new recruitment business about its growth plans. The next, I could be helping an existing client resolve a challenge or working with the wider APositive team to create a tailored solution.

The variety keeps things interesting and there is always a new problem that needs solving or a new relationship to build.

What do you enjoy most about the recruitment industry?

The people, the pace and the connections.

Recruitment businesses are built by ambitious, hardworking people who are constantly adapting. It is incredibly rewarding to remove some of the financial and operational pressures they face, giving them the freedom to focus on their clients, candidates and growth.

What lesson has stayed with you throughout your career?

Always listen.

Every person and every business is different. Taking the time to understand what someone genuinely needs can make all the difference, both professionally and personally.

Who is Hannah outside of work?

I am always ready for an adventure!

My perfect weekend involves spending quality time with my son, friends and family, ideally while exploring somewhere new or doing something fun. Give me good company, plenty of laughter and spontaneous plans, and I am happy.

What are you looking forward to at APositive?

I am excited to build new relationships and help more recruitment businesses overcome their funding, payroll and operational challenges.

For me, success is not simply putting a solution in place. It is seeing the people and businesses we work with gain confidence, grow and genuinely thrive.
