Taking to the showcase stage at ExCeL London

The Recruitment Agency Expo (RAE) was a fantastic event for the Apositive team and a great opportunity to spend time with agency leaders, partners and industry peers from across the UK.

One of the standout moments for our team was Darren taking to the Showcase Stage to share his perspective on why funding, payroll and systems choices can play such an important role in how recruitment agencies grow.

It was a strong session, not just because it shared practical insight, but because it opened up wider conversations around what growth really looks like for recruitment businesses in today’s market. It is not just about winning more business. It is about having the right foundations in place to support that growth in a sustainable way.

Continuing the conversation at the Apositive booth

The Apositive booth was another big part of the event. With Darren and me there across the expo, it quickly became a natural place to continue those conversations with agency leaders from across the UK. We spoke to people about growth, cash flow, payroll, back-office pressure and the need for systems that make it easier to run and scale a recruitment business.

The response was incredibly positive. What made the event so valuable was the openness of those conversations. People were honest about the pressures they are navigating, but also optimistic about where the market is heading and what is possible with the right support in place.

Supporting Conversations in the Business Advisory Lounge

Another valuable part of REA Recruitment Expo London was spending time in the Business Advisory Lounge.

It created more space for practical one-on-one conversations with agency leaders looking for ideas, support and insight around growth, finance and operations.

Those discussions reinforced something we see time and time again. Recruitment leaders want more than a provider. They want a partner who understands the industry and can help them make smarter decisions as they scale.

A welcome visit from Greg Savage

It was fantastic to welcome Greg Savage to the Apositive booth and capture that moment during such a busy event. It added to the sense that the expo really brought together a strong mix of people from across the recruitment industry, all sharing ideas, perspectives and experience.

As Apositive continues to grow in the UK, events like REA Recruitment Expo London are a reminder of how valuable real industry connection can be.

For me, one of the biggest takeaways from the expo was the quality of the conversations. From the Showcase Stage, to the booth, to the Business Advisory Lounge, there was a real openness from agency leaders about the challenges they are navigating and the opportunities they are working towards.

That is what made the event so worthwhile. It was not just about being there. It was about listening, sharing ideas and having honest conversations with people who are building and growing recruitment businesses every day.
